In order to face today's increasingly complex global environment new, innovative compentences and analytical skills are required. The two new Master's programmes at the Faculty of Social Sciences - the MSc in Security Risk Management and the MSc in Global Development - address this requirement in different ways. MSc in Security Risk Management
TheMSc in Security Risk Management will provide students with competences to translate global risk and security challenges of public organisations and private organisations, such as terrorism, financial crisis and environmental problems, into new security and risk management practices; to recognise new opportunities; to develop strategies for managing risks; and to lead these processes. MSc in Global Development
The MSc in Global Development will provide students with the qualifications required to understand, analyse and act in a new and globalised world in which globalisation has radically changed the way people live all over the world. The programme will do so through a combination of academic disciplines, which focuses on how markets and market behaviour influence development in societies and cultures worldwide.
